MY APPROACH & STYLE
When it comes to portrait shoots, I am so inspired by the creativity and impact of editorial fashion shoots. I am lucky to have spent time with some of my icons in this space and I adore their styles, the likes of Rankin and Greg Williams, who need no introduction. I am also influenced by the beauty of design and the dreaminess of film; I often bring these into my work in subtle ways.
As you will see in my work below, I love to find angles and unusual perspectives. I believe that photography should be empowering and inspire confidence. I approach my portrait sessions wanting to make my subject feel like the star; an icon of the camera. I love to bring across personalities and show the deep emotions of my subjects. Like some of my idols, I often like to get in close with the camera and to capture moments which anyone can view later and get a sense that they know a little more about my subject by my work. I want the viewer to wish they had been there, or even feel like they were!
